Science

This week, during our Science lesson, we investigated whether materials were transparent (allow light to pass through) or opaque (block the light out).

Mr Coleman helped us to find out if a cloth (a tea towel), wood, plastic, ceramic plate, tissue were transparent or opaque!

This week we are taking part in Science Week.

Here we are making playdough from ingredients that we have at home - flour, cornflour, water, food colouring, cooking oil and salt. We mixed them altogether and saw how the "wet ingredients" bound together with the "dry ingredients" to make a soft playdough ball.

Our second experiment, involved an investigation of the affects of cold/freezing on water, oil, orange juice, vinegar and milk! Here we are adding the liquids to our freezing tray.

Will cooking oil freeze ?

Will orange juice freeze?
